International
UK, USA and Asia Pacific firms rely upon Pacific Solutions as their transcription partner. Digital dictation allows the modern firm of professionals to expect higher standards in both quality and turnaround. Our services include transcription of straight legal and medical dictation, interviews and meetings or financial briefings. We work with brand name clients in each country and details are available upon request.
Be it lawyers in the UK, attorneys in the USA, journalists in Hong Kong or doctors in New Zealand, Pacific Solutions provides typing personnel with the necessary experience for both the location and type of dictation.
Certainty of pricing is maintained as charges are in client’s currency and payments can be made via credit card. Using Pacific Solutions is as simple as using a typing service down the road with the additional benefits of turnaround and price.
How can a transcription service benefit international business professionals?
Experienced dictators immediately notice the improved productivity from outsourcing. Lawyers and doctors spend less of their management time on staffing and can therefore focus more time on clients. Rather than dictate when their typist is available, they dictate when they wish, be it travelling, in their consulting rooms or at home.
As one of our clients wrote:
Even more exciting is the power of the 24-hour clock. I can vividly recall having to turn around a massive report during a period of extensive travelling. The ability to pull together a few ideas and generate a simple set of transcriptions and notes (not always in the right order!) and send these overnight to Australia was enormously effective. Can you imagine the gains when you come into the office first thing the next morning to find this large report is already completed and simply awaits a polishing and completion exercise?
A further big benefit, which is not always appreciated on the first use of this system, is how it acts in terms of overall planning and organisation. You quickly become aware that the system can also be your own private secretary or personal assistant. Notes can be jotted down with small action points made ready to be reviewed when time permits. Finally this can be put into a logical ordering; the bane of everyone's life…"the to do list".
Being able to keep random thoughts and ideas together at the vital moment of generation and then to pull them together into an effective management organisation tool can never be underestimated.
In every way the system works. It saves time and expense but more than anything delivers another level of productivity and efficiency to the executive. What the senior managers of the 1980s or 1990s would have given for such a tool! Transcription can deliver as much power and impact to the executive as the first PCs and the best thing is that the greatest gains and the greatest excitement are delivered from day one.
Pacific Solutions works and is effective straight out of the box.

Pacific Solutions reduces cycle time for practice management in UK and USA
Firms of UK and USA lawyers needed typing assistance after their PAs left for the day. The solution has been to dictate client correspondence and file notes on a PC-based recording system linked to Pacific Solutions' servers. Our experienced legal typists (many having worked in the UK and USA) are alerted when files are ready for typing. The completed documents are returned back to the lawyer's firm during the evening and are ready for them at the start of the next business day.
A significant reduction in cost and cycle time for necessary, but routine, work has been achieved. Pacific Solutions assists legal firms to improve efficiency using a cost effective and timely method.
Pacific Solutions enables translators to do what they do best
French to English translators were annoyed at wasting valuable time with inadequate typing skills or expensive assistants based in the UK. Pacific Solutions has an experienced pool of translation typists who now do their work for them. Translators dictate audio files via a digital handheld recorder (eg Olympus DS-5000) and email original French documents (legal agreements, patent applications, company marketing brochures, corporate training summaries etc) together with audio files of their dictated English translation to Pacific Solutions.
The original French documents can be in any format (pdf, rtf, HTML); Pacific Solutions typists replicate exactly the French document to an English equivalent using the English dictation. All translator instructions are carefully followed to ensure a perfect translation in both form and content.
Translators using Pacific Solutions have significantly increased their productivity and thus profit levels. Twenty pages of translation that used to take a day can now be done in a little less than 2 hours of translation/dictation time. This service has now extended to translating companies from not only Europe but across Asia. C'est magnifique!
UK medical specialists simplify work processes
Specialists operating out of a number of different UK consulting rooms now send all dictation from their Olympus portable devices to Pacific Solutions via their secure login. Typed letters are available next day. The switch to using Pacific Solutions has been simpler than redesigning work practices for existing staff based in various offices.
International conferences and interviews available to participants the next morning
Conferences and interviews are being transcribed by Pacific Solutions and returned overnight in time for delegates and interviewees to read transcripts within 24 hours. In a number of instances, Pacific Solutions has worked with our international based clients to set up the necessary recording hardware.
Clients
UK professionals take advantage of the strong cultural links and lower Australian pricing to receive overnight transcription of dictated letters and reports.
Numerous US Legal firms (patent, personal liability and other) and Court Reporting firms outsource overnight turnaround of dictation and meetings.
Throughout Asia we work with media groups and finance institutions requiring high quality English transcription of non-native speakers.
Confidentiality
Australian National Privacy Principles are compliant with HIPAA (USA), directives from Information Commissioners Office (UK) and NZ standards. NDAs available upon request.
Note that a number of our clients have indicated their preference to outsource to Australia to avoid sensitive dictations being handled internally.
Security
SSL encryption for all audio and documents sent via client login.
Turnaround
All professional dictation is returned next business day (weekend service available upon request).
Recorded meetings and non-standard requests take approximately two working days depending upon volume and complexity (guaranteed overnight service available at slightly higher rate).
Typists
Dedicated to international accounts and experienced in styles and formats required.
